Boektopia 2026 focuses on growth and partnership
Boektopia is returning to Kortrijk Xpo, and we are very pleased about it. The now well-known book festival will take place in 2026, traditionally during the autumn holidays, for six days in Kortrijk. Afterwards, Boektopia will close its doors for a few days before reopening for another six days in Antwerp. With this new format, the organisation aims to expand its reach and give even more book lovers across Flanders the opportunity to visit the event.
For Kortrijk Xpo, the return of Boektopia confirms a trusted partnership that has been running smoothly and successfully for five years now. Since 2021, Boektopia has grown into a fixed highlight in our calendar and a true must-attend event for every book lover.
“Thanks to the warm atmosphere, reading sessions, live meetings with authors and numerous other experiences, visitor numbers and book sales have increased exponentially in recent editions (61,450 visitors and 138,000 books sold in 2025),” says Saskia Soete De Boosere, CEO of Xpo Group. “The choice for a twelve-day event, split into two six-day periods in Kortrijk and Antwerp respectively, is therefore a logical expansion of the concept. Flanders’ leading book event will thus welcome visitors from both the west and east of the region and continue to grow into an event that connects all of Flanders, with the book experience at its core.”
We are therefore very proud to continue playing a central role in this story and are already looking forward to the 2026 edition, which will undoubtedly once again be one of the highlights of our autumn.
Boektopia 2026 will take place at Kortrijk Xpo during the autumn holidays, from 30 October to 4 November 2026.
