Fine dining and experience on exhibition days: discover Café Culinair Xpo

Kortrijk welcomes a new culinary initiative.

During the exhibition period from September through December 2025, seven leading restaurants are joining forces for Café Culinair Xpo. On weekdays during exhibition days, visitors, exhibitors, and professionals from both Belgium and abroad can enjoy a refined three-course lunch or dinner in various gastronomic restaurants, at a fixed price.

Café Culinair Xpo finds its origins in Café Paté, a creative and locally rooted initiative in which several regional chefs highlighted the art of pâté. The competition had multiple editions and was organized in 2019 during Chef, a trade fair for restaurateurs and food professionals at Kortrijk Xpo. From a shared belief in the potential of gastronomic initiatives combined with the economic activity surrounding the exhibition complex, the idea for a new project emerged: Café Culinair Xpo.

A collaboration that adds value to the city

The initiative was launched by the participating restaurants and is actively supported by Kortrijk Xpo. With more than 300,000 visitors per year, Kortrijk Xpo is an important economic driver for the region. Café Culinair Xpo builds on this: visitors and exhibitors who spend their day at the exhibition can enjoy a refined menu at a fixed price for lunch or dinner at one of the participating restaurants in the city. In this way, Kortrijk is evolving into a destination where business, hospitality, and gastronomy go hand in hand—making the concept truly unique.

Participating restaurants

The following seven restaurants are taking part in the initiative:

  • Restaurant Dirkjan Decock
  • Restaurant Het Vliegend Tapijt
  • Restaurant Va et Vient
  • Restaurant Vol-Ver
  • Restaurant d’Oude Burcht
  • Restaurant ViEr
  • Restaurant Pauline

Each offers its own selection within one of two fixed formulas:

  • €85 per person
  • €65 per person

Both formulas include: three courses, two paired wines or a non-alcoholic alternative, half a liter of water, and coffee or tea. Reservations are made through each restaurant’s own online booking system and are only available on weekdays during exhibition days.

Boektopia is returning to Kortrijk Xpo, and we are very pleased about it. The now well-known book festival will take place in 2026, traditionally during the autumn holidays, for six days in Kortrijk. Afterwards, Boektopia will close its doors for a few days before reopening for another six days in Antwerp. With this new format, the organisation aims to expand its reach and give even more book lovers across Flanders the opportunity to visit the event.
